Hi, I'm Pamela

I grew up with my dad in the Air Force. I was born abroad on a military base in Turkey. Like most military families, I've lived in many places across the US. I actually started school in Magna but I lived a lot of my childhood in Alaska which is one of the reasons why I was drawn to Utah. I moved to Utah in 1999. I'm at peace in the mountains. You'll often find me camping and exploring on the weekends.

I came to Utah after studying Media Studies at Iowa Western. I worked for several local radio stations doing everything from on-air personality to traffic and voiced several local commercials.  I was even an announcer for the 2002 Winter Games. When my children were young, I went back to school to double major in film and photography. I started working on major productions with the most talented crew and directors in the world. I also taught film and photography at events and photo clubs around the country. I've tech edited several books in the my field and helped with certification test questions. I feel grateful that I was able to work in a field I love. I recently left work as a North American account manager for an international company that makes lighting equipment for high end productions. This past year has hit my industry with challenges I never anticipated. During this campaign, I left my 20 year career and I currently work for University of Utah Healthcare. In addition, I've gone back to school to finish a degree in Political Science taking one or two classes a semester. I love learning and growing in whatever I'm apart of.

I believe in service. I believe in being an example to my children. I believe we all want good things for our family and communities. I believe in building genuine relationships. I believe in our community.
